Editor's Note

“J’adore Dior”

Launched under the creative direction of John Galliano, this Christian Dior tank top pays homage to the label’s debut collection in 1947. John Galliano took Dior’s concepts of femininity, and revamped the brand, giving the fashion house a more modern, flamboyant and exuberant vibe during his 1996 to 2011 tenure.

His “J’adore Dior”, - a pun on the label’s name that translates as, “I love Dior” became an iconic slogan of the 2000s, and his sense of modernity saw him introduce references to pop culture and streetwear.
