From Jean Paul Gaultier’s F/W 1995 Cyber collection, this semi-sheer top features one of Jean Paul Gaultier’s most iconic designs, the Cyber Dots. The top has a crew neck and overstitched hems. The top is in good vintage condition with visible signs of wear and tear that include numerous small holes around the shoulders where the stitching is, one on the sleeve, and one on the back.

Jean Paul Gaultier was one of the first designers to understand the importance of technology and futuristic ideas in fashion. The iconic “Cyberdots” print we see on this top was designed on a computer, using colour gradients to outline the figure of a woman wearing a bra and thong.

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Cyber collection, inspired by Victor Vasarely and often referred to as his Mad Max show, is one of the most memorable moments in fashion history as he incorporates many elements of the past into a representation of what will be, so as not to lose touch with what we were, making owning a piece like this a staple in any collector’s wardrobe.

The print has since been revisited by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Cardi B and Charli XCX.
